About 80% of the dirt in carpets is loose dirt and dust, often trapped underneath flattened pile. Thorough vacuuming with 'industrial' vacuum cleaners will remove the vast majority of this dirt from carpets. Maximum efficiency is achieved with vacuums with a pile brush or heavy duty beater bar that raises the pile sufficiently for the vacuum to remove the loose dirt that is deep in the pile. Over time some dirt particles become stuck to carpet fibres and resist removal by vacuuming.
Spillages of tea, coffee, red wine, food, etc. quickly become embedded into carpet fibres to form stubborn stains. Using colloid technology 'XSA All Purpose Cleaner' simply digests virtually all non-set stains including chewing gum with just one product and is quickly wiped away, ideally with a microfibre cloth. Embedded dirt is removed in minutes.
The Micrionix™ dry cleaning process can be safely used on any type of carpet fabric. Carpets are sprayed with 'XSU Universal carpet and upholstery cleaner' which breaks down the bond which keeps the dirt stuck to the fibres. Then using a hot Micrionix™ ZM17S super-split microfibre pad with any low speed rotary floor machine, the stuck dirt is extracted into the microfibre pad using ionisation. For 'bar black' and compacted oil and fat in restaurants and bars, a pre-treatment with 'XSG Grease Digester' is the solution.
Carpets cleaned with Micrionix™ are back in action in minimal time and do not contain residues which would otherwise speed resoiling.
To prevent further spots and spills from becoming embedded stains, simply spray with 'XSR- Rescue!' as soon as possible and remove with a ZMFC microfibre cloth. |

Using 'Wet extraction' or shampoo equipment?
Treat loose dirt and embedded dirt as described above, then use XSW Wet Extraction Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner in virtually any wet extraction or carpet shampooer to break down the bonds which hold the stuck dirt to the fibre. XSW gives similar cleaning results to XSU, but drying times are extended and dictated by the equipment used.
