The Micrionix™ dry cleaning process can be safely used on virtually any type of curtain fabric. However, pre-testing for colourfastness in an inconspicuous area will identify any loose dyes within the fabric.
Most of the dirt in curtains is loose dirt and dust, either adhering to the fabric surface or penetrated through to the lining. Thorough vacuuming will remove the vast majority of this dirt from all types of curtains. The more powerful the vacuum the greater the amount of loose dirt is removed.
Spillages and skin oils from handling can quickly become embedded into fibres to form stubborn stains. Using colloid technology 'XSA All Purpose Cleaner' simply digests virtually all non-set stains with just one product and is quickly wiped away, ideally with a ZMFC microfibre cloth. Embedded dirt is removed in minutes. Taking into account that curtains fibres may distress more easily than carpets, rubbing should be minimised particularly on velvet, silk and open weave fabrics.
Over time dirt particles become stuck to fibres and resist removal by vacuuming. On curtains stuck dirt is generally restricted to the surface of the curtain. 'XSU Universal Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner' breaks down the bond which keeps the dirt stuck to the fibres. Using a fogger or spray mister to apply XSU prevents fabrics getting wet; enabling curtains to be quickly back in action. The stuck dirt is removed using a Micrionix™ ZMFM super-split microfibrer upholstery mitt. A final vacuum will ensure curtains are available for use in minimal time.
Curtains cleaned with Micrionix™ are back in action in minimal time and do not contain residues which would otherwise speed resoiling.
To prevent further spots and spills from becoming embedded stains, simply spray with 'XSR- Rescue!' as soon as possible and remove with a ZMFC microfibre cloth. |
